City of Chelmsford Mencap’s youth club for young people aged 16 to 25 offers a variety of activities, from dance and music workshops to evenings exploring different cultures and themes.

Gateway Juniors
Our weekly youth club, Gateway Juniors, is for young people aged 16 to 25. The club is held on Tuesday evenings, 7-9pm.
In-house sessions are held at Mencap Centre, Mildmay Road, in central Chelmsford.
Gateway Juniors offers sports and dance workshops for the energetic and arts and crafts, puzzles and quizzes for those who prefer a quiet evening with friends.
Members enjoy trips to restaurants, theatres and community events. They also have access to many of the special events organised by the Gateway Club, including their quarterly pub quizzes and discos.
Gateway Juniors provides an opportunity for young people with a learning disability to socialise with their peers in a safe and supportive environment and to continue their development in fun and engaging ways.
