Open Garden on 16th May

Open Garden event in aid of City
of Chelmsford Mencap.
Chris says, "If you are thinking of manicured lawns, co-ordinated flower beds, landscaping, etc., please get that out of your head. Ours is a more natural garden but there is plenty to explore so please bring kids, grandkids, friends and family. The more people who come, the more we can raise for City of Chelmsford Mencap so please spread the word.
The garden at Priory Lodge, Braxted Park Road, Tiptree, is open on Saturday 16h May, 10am-4pm.

Carers Connect in June
Join us on the evening of Monday
1st June to find out more about
Mencap's new Healthier Me initiative, funded by Omaze.
Kayden Woodthorpe, Essex's Healthier Me Coach, will be talking about the range of support on offer for Mencap users who wish to improve their lifestyles by setting goals and get access into the community for wellbeing.
Carers, adults with a learning disability and professionals are all welcome to attend this session.

As part of CCM's 75th anniversary celebrations, our wonderful In!Catering team will be holding a special PopUp Birthday Party at Mencap Centre!
Join us on Thursday 4th June, 10am-2pm, for delicious lunches and birthday cake Plus, we'll have our usual range of drinks.
As ever, our In!Designs range of gifts and cards will be available to buy, and our ACE students will be selling indoor and outdoor plants.

Carers Connect in July
In July, Carers Connect is a little later in the month than usual, on Monday 13th July.
Paul McKinley from Ability.net will be talking about their free digital skills training for adults with a disability.
From setting up email addresses to tips on staying safe online, digital skills support is always an important topic, so this session is also open to adults with a learning disability.
