Data Protection

At City of Chelmsford Mencap, it is our goal to be as open and transparent as possible with our users about the personal data we collect to provide our services, how the data is used.


Our Privacy Policy reflects the increased transparency requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (known as the ‘GDPR’).

We have always strived to provide you with clear and simple information about the personal data we collect, how this data is used and how we protect your personal data in our Privacy Policy.

We currently use two mailing lists and databases. The first contains all our service users data, and includes emails, phone number, financial information (for example who and how members pays for the sessions) and emergency contact details. This data is mandatory for City of Chelmsford Mencap to continue to offer its services. This data is normally collected as part of the enrolment forms. A process is being put into place to keep this data updated.

 

The second emailing list is for general information about City of Chelmsford Mencap. For example we use this to advertise new services, and fundraising events via email. 

 

We very much want to keep you on our mailing list so you stay connected to everything that is happening at City of Chelmsford Mencap, however if you no longer want to receive general emails from us then click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
